Olivia Jeczmyk was born in the Polish city of Krakow. She came to Sweden as a four-year-old in an orange Fiat. The foundations for Olivia's interest in creating pictures were laid early as her father had a photo lab at home in the bathroom. It was Olivia's ambition to become a lawyer in international law, but when she inherited an old camera from her father she soon caught the creative-bug and put other plans aside. Instead, she trained as a photographer and after completing her studies, ended up in Stockholm as an photographers assistant. ''During that period I started experimenting more and more with breathing life into inanimate objects. I saw small characters in almost everything and made up stories around everyday objects. Today, I work in a similar way with my focus on geometric compositions where simplicity interacts with the object and vice versa.''
